What if I'm uncomforable in front of the camera?
You are not alone! As a matter of fact, it's not normal to feel comfortable in front of a camera. Working with me is like hanging out with a friend and forgetting the camera is even there!
What's the best time for a session?
I always recommend booking for sunrise or sunset (times vary throughout the year). This allows for softer and more flattering lighting. I also advise my clients to book during the week, if possible, to avoid crowds at the beaches and other popular locations.
Where should I have my session?
The Sarasota area features beautiful beaches, lush greenery, urban cityscapes, and more. For variety, you may like to select multiple locations. I've compiled a guide of my favorite locations from Sarasota to Boca Grande. If you're an AKP client, you can receive this guide along with my help in choosing the location(s) that's right for you! If you're looking for something different, I'm always open to new ideas and locations.
What should I wear?
The most important thing when choosing an outfit is that you feel good in it.
For the ladies, long dresses and skirts work best at beach/nature locations. For guys, consider shorts or lightweight pants. Personally, I prefer lights and pastels, but a pop of color can add some variety! Avoid big prints, logos, or anything else that may distract from your face.
If scheduling for two locations, consider varying your outfits - one casual and one dressy. If you'd like more specific outfit planning advice, contact me!

Do I have to print through you?
You absolutely don't have to, but you may want to! I recommend utilizing a professional printing lab to ensure that you aren't compromising quality on your investment. Your online gallery will feature a built-in shop that makes it a breeze to order high-quality prints and products and have them delivered to your door. My clients are always pleased with the result!
